What do I need to bring to orientation?
Q: If I plan to take ACCTG 503 in the spring, may I still participate in VITA?
A: Yes, of course!
Q: Where can I get an ADD CODE to register in ACCTG 409?
A: ADD CODES will be distributed to eligible volunteers during orientation.
Q: Do I need previous tax preparation experience to participate?
A: No.
Q: Where can I take the IRS basic and wage earner certification tests?
A: You will receive detailed instructions on how to obtain your IRS certificates during orientation.
Q: Will my volunteer hours count as community service credits for BAY or SAS?
A: Yes. Please speak with the coordinator if you want your hours logged for these organizations.
Q: I am an International student, am I required to enroll in ACCTG 409?
A: You are the only exception to this requirement. Since your fees are calculated by units enrolled, you will NOT be required to enroll in ACCTG 409. All the other requirements will still apply to you.
Q: Where is the orientation and software training workshop going to be held?
A: On campus in BAM 113.
Q: What do I need to bring to orientation?
A: We will provide you with the required training materials during orientation. Just bring a pencil and paper.
